There are dozens of aspects to the average website. Everything from creating the HTML pages, uploading all the files, creating all the content and driving all the traffic to your site. Up until now you thought that everything was going well, and then something bad happens. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on increase site traffic opportunities just because there is a problem.

There seems to be a common problem among site builders that I cannot figure out. It seems that there is the impression that “if they do not include support center functionality, that nothing will ever need supporting.

How many websites have you gone to where you had a problem but could not find a person or support center to help you with? IT can be extremely frustrating. So why not use one, right?

But did you know that it actually helps increase your site traffic to have one?

Many people falsely assume that having a support center automatically means that people will need supporting. This is not true. Many people are perfectly happy to have some problems with a product and actually not complain about. It depends on the severity of the problem. While others will complain about any little details. You will have those people even without a support center in place.

Having a support center solution in place means people know you are there “if or when” they need help. A good support system can make a ton of difference in a business environment. Once you have released a new product, do you really want people to have to just email you back and forth at a ton of different websites? Not really.

Support centers are easily installed. Most web-hosting accounts include scripts for one-click installations. These almost always include at least 2 or 3 free support center solutions. There are also several higher priced paid versions which may have more features which could increase your site traffic, such as an FAQ section or live chat options.

There will be some setup on the front end in order to get the support center functionality up and running, but it will be well worth it in the long run. It will give people the knowledge that you care about their problems and it will give them a place to visit on your site to get solutions to their problems. This means increase site traffic when they visit, both to inform you of any issues and potentially to check for responses.

Selling software can easily be one of the most lucrative methods to make good money on the Internet. People who use computers are always trying to make their jobs easier or to add more quality to their jobs. That is the reason they are looking for good software all the time, and you can use that as a means to increase traffic to your website.

What is a Software Teaser?

Also referred to as a trial offer, many marketers “tease” people by giving them demo or restricted versions of the software for free. This allows the person downloading the software to see firsthand the quality of the product before deciding to spend good money on it. These demo versions generally have some features locked or they are timed demos which expire after a predetermined time-frame or number of uses. When that happens, the person using the trial will be prompted to buy the product to make use of it without restriction. For then to do this they must visit your website to make the purchase. This increases your website traffic, once for the download and each time they upgrade or renew.

What kind of software is available?

People on the Internet like each and every kind of software, even the ones you can’t think of. Or, to put that in another way – each and every type of software on the Internet will find takers. There’s a niche for everything on the Internet, and every niche has at least one person. So, if you have made a software application that will help Grandma remember her recipes or made a software that will help a fisherman with organizing his tackle box of fishing lures, you are going to find people who will be willing to download that and check it out.

Where do I get software to offer?

There are a couple options to get software. One, if you are a programmer, create it yourself. Many software companies started out this way. You could become the next major software developer for fishing lures. Who knows.

Hire someone to create software for you. There are plenty of online sites for outsourcing program creation. Sites like Elance or Odesk offer programmers a place to go to look for freelance offers. There might be a programmer out there waiting for your idea.

You do not need to have your own software application either. You could buy the resell rights of software and sell it. There are several creative people on the Internet who like building software but don’t like the marketing aspect of it.

These people give away the software they have developed for a price. You can modify these software applications to an extent and in some cases you can re-brand them too. Of course, you sell them at a much higher and enduring price than you bought it for.

How do you get more website traffic with software.

If you have more than one software package to offer, make sure to include a link to the sales page in other software you are giving away. This could be in the documentation or even in the software itself. Some software companies will place an exit screen which automatically load their website. This increases traffic to your website each time they open or close the program.

Almost everyone who has an email address has been spammed. Spam is unwanted junk email that is sent for a variety of reasons: to spread viruses, get business, or simply to be annoying. For whatever reason spam is sent, it’s irritating and often dangerous for the person receiving it. How can one avoid getting spam, and once it’s there, how does one get rid of it and avoid a repeat situation?

The first step is to protect yourself. Be sure you are using spam blockers, whether they are offered by your email provider or you have to find one on your own. Also, make sure your computer has basic protection. If you get an email virus, you want your computer to quickly take note and take care of the situation. There is a countless amount of great freeware available, or you can choose to purchase commercial protection. Just find a reputable system and don’t download the first thing you find or you’ll probably have another problem altogether.

Now that you’re protected, check out your email and look for a pattern in your spam. Is there a common theme (there often is) or is all coming from one location? A theme you may see in your spam includes a stranger offering kind regards or needing your immediate attention. Spammers often use very generic names such as Mary Smith sending her best wishes or big names that grab your attention, such as Ban Ki Moon requiring your signature on a very large check. If you don’t know the name on a personal email or the subject just sounds too good to be true, don’t open it. It’s probably spam, and opening it will likely lead to more.

If you find that a website that you’ve signed up for is sending you excessive spam, scroll to the bottom of the email and look for a unsubscribe link and let them know that you’re not interested. Whether or not you find one, block the sender.

Most emails will allow users to create custom filters for incoming mail. These vary by provider, but they generally allow users to set specific guidelines on how they want their mail sorted. For example, someone working at a law firm can have all the messages with their firm’s name sent to one file. This can be used to sort out potential spam if your account doesn’t already have a good spam filter. If you do have a spam filter automatically or if you’ve set one up yourself, be sure to use it. When you get a spam email, be sure to alert your email account that this is spam rather than simply deleting it. This will help automatically sort future emails.

Sometimes it is helpful to have an extra email account. Dangerous spam can take over your email and automatically send out messages to your contacts without your consent or knowledge. Signing up for a free account and adding yourself as a contact will quickly alert you by sending you automatic emails that your contacts may be seeing, some more embarrassing than others. This way, quick action can be taken to prevent future instances.

Probably the most important rule about spam that everyone should follow is simply not to open it and certainly not to respond. Opening a suspicious message can lead to a takeover of your account, viruses, and of course more spam. So unless you personally know that Nigerian prince, just block it, send it to the spam folder and step away.

In this day and age, the internet is king and information that needs to be sent out quickly is done through email. Businesses that send out and receive hundreds of emails a day can no longer keep track of what mail is legitimate and what is not. This is why you need email archiving solutions to scan and separate the real mail from the trash. Nobody likes getting spammed, especially when checking your email is the first thing you do at the office. Spam emails are unethical, mass electronic mail messages that contain no valid header information and no opt-out method. Apart from this, it also performs involuntary tracking when opened and can spread viruses and spyware.

Companies that want to protect their valuable data should invest in email filtering services. These are software programs that can be incorporated into your existing email server. With this installed, a company can organize its inbound and outbound emails effectively, and have an easy time doing so thanks to a unique search feature.

There are a number of reasons why your company needs email archiving solutions. Apart from archiving, this service can protect you in the event a disaster was to strike and severely damage your internal network. Security is another matter that needs to be carefully considered. You will be able to keep track of what goes in and what comes out of your email server, preventing unnecessary company leaks and security breaches.

Because of the sensitive data that are circulated within an office, you need email filtering services. Hackers and spammers are a constant threat to office productivity. They will try to exploit your internal weaknesses and gaps in order to send harmful messages or steal personal information by sending viruses to computers. Email archiving solutions that filter Spam need to be constantly updated in order to deal with an always evolving set of parameters and problems. As a business owner, you need to be on top of this before spamming becomes a liability to your company.

The world has become a much more dangerous place, both in the physical sense and in cyberspace. Spam emails and virus attacks continue to increase in volume and evolve in complexity. If you need to protect your business, there are many companies online that can give you this kind of service. Always go for email filtering services that have the resources, technology, options, knowledge, and anti-spam software to filter out and block those unwanted emails effectively.

Spam is flooding inboxes, message boards, newsgroups, user comments, etc with the same message(s). The message is usually commercial advertising for quasi-legal products and services. Spam is lucrative because it costs the spammer little money to send. The brunt of the cost is borne by the recipients or carriers instead of the sender.

Email spam that is targeted at individual users can be more than just an annoyance. Spammers can distribute viruses through email messages sent to your inbox.

There are several ways to stop spam. We have outlined four methods here.

The first method for an organization is to install a corporate spam filter.

A corporate spam filter is installed on the receiving email server. There are two options for installing a corporate spam filter:

* Install a spam filter with the SMTP server

The SMTP protocol is for sending email SMTP. This is the most direct and easiest method for installing a spam filter. The filter is installed on Port 25 where it inspects incoming email messages and then passes them on to the SMTP server that is listening on another port. The SMTP server then sends the message to the POP3 server, which forwards it to the email recipient.

* Install a spam filter with the POP3 server

The POP3 protocol is for retrieving email. When a spam filter is installed on the POP3 server, email messages must still pass through the SMTP server. This may cause increased costs for data storage and handling.

The second method to stop spam is to contract with a third party organization. Using this method all email is directed to the third party’s spam filter. Unsolicited bulk mail (spam) is deleted and the clean mail is redirected to the organization’s recipient. In order for the organization’s mail to go to the third party their MX (mail exchange) record must be changed at the Domain Name System (DNS).

The third method is to install a spam filter on your local computer. The majority of email clients can be configured to filter spam. Some of the configurations typically include:

* Blacklist Senders

This configuration blocks a list of senders. Databases of blacklists are available on the Internet.

* Whitelist Senders

This configuration allows the recipient to enter a list of email addresses that are allowed to pass through. All others are sent to the junk email folder.

* Block Top Level Domain

Some spam filters can be configured to block email from regions and even entire continents known for distributing spam such as Eastern Europe.

The final method is to install a separate spam filtering software. The software works with your email client to eliminate junk mail. This software may need to be “trained” meaning that the user must identify the unsolicited messages they receive as spam. The filtering software then uses the characteristics of the spam messages to identify and block unwanted email.

Spam filter services normally come with email accounts because it’s a huge problem. At times these spam filters do not do what you want them to. You are constantly taking out email you want to keep and placing it into the spam folder. Eventually, you have to go through your spam folder looking for the email you wanted to read, making the process the same as if you didn’t have a spam filter at all.

One way of dealing with this is to manually make your own filter. The easiest way of doing this is to use a desktop email client like Thunderbird or one that has some sort of filtering ability that comes with it.

When you get your email into your inbox, start making filters to put it into various locations. This way the messages that you don’t want to see won’t be seen by you at all as these will be filtered out from your incoming mail. If you think this sounds too difficult, don’t worry – it really isn’t.

One idea is to filter out certain email addresses. These would be personal email, newsletters, and other items that you want to keep. Every time you check your mail have these moved into a different folder so that you know you have something important.

Make another filter that deals with spam or unwanted messages. Start targeting common words that are in your spam and junk mail. You know the type I’m talking about. They are usually trying to sell you something and even though you probably never asked for them, they still keep coming. Gradually over a few weeks add another word or email address that filters to your spam folder and your inbox starts looking nice and clean.

The good thing about this is that you can also filter the messages that you want to stand out so that you will always see those and won’t get lost among all the rubbish mail.

This does take a little time but it actually makes your email usable again especially if you were one who receives thousands of spam messages per week. Taking a little bit of time now to sort your incoming mail will save you heaps of time later, so it will be worth the effort.

Sometimes spam filters get rid of mail that you actually want. With a desktop client like Thunderbird, you can make your own spam filter.

Spam is one of the most insidious side effects of the Internet revolution and has only gotten worse over time. There are various ways to filter spam in your blog comments.Unfortunately, many of us now spend a lot of time scanning & removing spam that our biggest concern has become that we don’t loose original messages we really want. A couple of simple precautions and software available online can dramatically reduce the amount of spam.

How can you stop spam

1. Use captcha plugins to counter spamming bots, that crawl the internet looking for comment boxes
2. Use Akismet plugin. Its a free to use service that keeps a database of spamming bots and their activity pattern.
3. Moderate comments
5. Dont give away your email addresses. Stop posting your e-mail address on a public forum or website.

Spam email is such an intrusion into our lives. We don’t want it, we didn’t ask for it and yet it comes right into our home to bother us. Some spam is very offensive. Some spam is X rated and children might be looking over our shoulder. Spam can take a lot of time to deal with and can seem almost overwhelming. Most of the software programs that we use to read email and many of the Internet Service Providers offer effective ways to deal with spam. The catch is that it requires a small investment of time and study to learn to apply the spam filers that we have within our reach.

There are two ways to filter spam mail: at the server and at our desktop email program. Since I have previously written on setting up spam filters at the server level, on a hosting account, I will touch on spam filtering that works within POP email accounts.

Setting Up Filtering With Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook 2010 has a very simple spam filtering system which will help reduce the amount of spam you have to deal with. To begin right click on the spam mail in question. Go the option entitled “Junk” near the bottom of the menu. You will see options to “Block Sender,” “Never Block Sender,” “Never Block Sender’s Domain” and so forth. If you choose Block Sender you will never get email from anyone at that address again.

There is an option called “Junk Email Options.” If you choose that you will get a wizard in which you can turn on spam filtering for your account. Your choices are No Filtering, Low Filtering, High Filtering, and Safe Lists Only. Under the Low and High Filtering options there is a line which describes the meaning of each option. “Safe Lists Only” means that you will need to manually form a Safe List. Then only the email from addresses on your Safe List arrives at your inbox. All other mail is then deleted. At the top of the Junk Email Options wizard is a tab called Blocked Senders. The Blocked Senders option prevents mail from all blocked addresses being delivered to your inbox and routes it to the Trash Bin. You can fill the Blocked Senders list by right clicking on any unwanted email and choosing to block that sender.

Another important setting is one which will permanently delete junk mail. If you chose this option all junk mail is permanently deleted. This option is not recommended for many users since the Trash Bin gives us a second chance to recover wrongfully deleted mail.

If you choose High filtering your email must meet a very high standard to avoid the Junk Folder. These filters are not perfect and you may lose a wanted mail message from time to time. If you are expecting mail and do not receive it you can go to the Junk Folder and check if it is there. To find the Junk Folder just double click your Inbox folder icon. The entire folder directory under Inbox will now open and you will see Junk Folder. Double click the Junk Folder and you will see the messages in it. Go to the message from your friend and right click on it. Choose “Junk” near the bottom of the menu. Then click “Never Block Sender”. Now you will not lose mail from that sender.

The Outlook Filters Are Not Perfect

The spam filters built into Microsoft Office are not perfect but they offer some level of protection. Spammers are tricky, creative and very persistent. You will find that some spam mail will make its way into your mail box despite the filters. I recommended that you set the spam filters with your Internet Service Provider to work along with Outlook’s filters. Feel free to make some adjustments to your Outlook filters. If you do not receive email send by a friend; don’t forget to check for it in the Junk Email Folder. The Microsoft website offers more information about Outlook’s email filters.

Setting Spam Filters For Mozilla Thunderbird

Thunderbird is a free Open Source mail program offered by the Mozilla Foundations which also produces the Firefox web browser. Thunderbird is one of the top alternatives to Microsoft Outlook. Firefox offers a very strong spam filter system. We will take a look at setting up junk mail filters on Thunderbird.

When you have set up your email account in Thunderbird (you may have several email accounts within the program) you will see an icon for it in the left sidebar of the program. Highlight your account and you will see a list of options in the larger right column. Click “View settings for this account.” Click “Junk Settings” on the left of the popup that appears. The first option that is available is to “Enable adaptive junk mail settings for this account.” Check that box. The next option gives all the addresses in your Personal Address Book exemption from the filtering process. Check that since you approve of all of those senders.

The next option to “Trust Junk Mail Headers set by SpamAssassin” is very powerful. SpamAssassin is a very accurate Spam Scoring system that runs on many hosting servers and Internet Service Providers. If you have SpamAssassin on your hosting account or the ISP where your email originates you may use this option. In using this option you are giving Thunderbird permission to delete junk mail when it is marked as junk or spam by the SpamAssassin program. This means that once you have configured SpamAssassin at the server or ISP level, your email will receive a spam score before it hits your inbox. Thunderbird will read this score and move all mail with a sufficiently high score to the Junk Folder when it reaches your computer. This is very effective. Your only worry is if the scoring is set too severely and occasionally good email goes to the Junk Folder. If this happens you can put that email address in your address book and you will get all mail from that person.

Articles on the web do not simply appear out of thin air. For each and every article a person reads, another person has spent time and effort creating it. In order to optimize a person’s search experience, businesses concerned with search engines may utilize SEO content writing to provide unique articles for keyword searches. It is imperative that the writers providing these articles create new and original material, which in the end serves to benefit both the customer ordering the article and the writer.

A company that desires to put out articles concerning certain keywords usually provides criteria for SEO content writing. This usually involves keywords or a phrase that someone may type in to a search engine. The company purchases the articles from another company that hires writers to create the unique articles. The articles vary in length depending on what the company who purchased the article requires or desires. Since these articles are a product being purchased, it is vital that SEO content writers provide unique and original material. By writing articles that are new and fresh, the writer shows ability and talent in SEO content writing, and may obtain more work assignments, thus earning more money. Original work shows that the writer is trustworthy and dependable.

Providing material that has already been created by someone else, however, only works to damage the reputation of the writer and, possibly, the business that ordered the article-if the article ever makes it on to the internet. Writing or copying material demonstrates a lack of creativity, or even laziness. SEO content writing should not be overly difficult for a person who chooses to enter that profession. If the content is merely plagiarized, the writer may find it difficult to find or retain employment. Businesses want something fresh to draw the customer in, not a rehash of what someone else has already done.

Original writing not only demonstrates creativity, but well-written articles will most likely not go unnoticed by the customer. Happy customers have a tendency to return, and returning customers mean more business. More business equals more money. The demand then grows for a writer who can provide quality material. Original, well-written articles only serve to benefit the writer in the end.

There will always be a need for new and refreshing material to read on the web. Thus there will always be a need for SEO content writing, for someone to write that new and refreshing material. Anyone can be a copycat. It doesn’t take much ingenuity to copy and paste words from one place to another. The real value is in originality. Creative thinking and original writing can open more paths, and thus more business, not only for those businesses utilizing the articles, but also for the SEO content writer.

Plenty of businesses today require the help of SEO Services if they are to gain advantage over their competitors. SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization and it is the process whereby webmasters use various processes to enable websites show up in search engines in the event users search for a specific keyword. For example, if your website deals with selling shoes, the right keywords to use to attract visitors should be related to shoes. When visitors search for the word “shoes”, they will get a list of websites that deal with shoes.

The importance of using SEO services is that it enables your website to have an advantage over other websites. There are plenty of businesses that have websites and have the same product as yours. In order for customers to find your products and not those of your competitors, your website must be SEO friendly. It is for this reason that you must hire an experienced SEO company. Using the services of an experienced SEO company enables you to benefit from their years of expertise, skills and proven results. This is contrary to what you will get by letting a rookie company handle your website’s SEO needs. You might end up paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars and see no results.

There are certain SEO Services companies that will promise you results in few days or weeks. Even though you might be tempted to use their services, you need to exercise caution. It is important to understand that there are no shortcuts when it comes to website search engine optimization. This process requires time, effort and money for the results to appear. It might even take months before you can see any tangible results. Thus, when you think of hiring an SEO services company;consider asking them the time frame they expect the results to appear. If they provide a shorter time frame, they might be using illegal techniques or are just after your money.

Many businesses opt to outsource their SEO needs to professionals dealing with SEO services. One of the advantages of doing this is that there is no need to hire and train staff in implementing the SEO strategies. Moreover, it may take time and special training before the person hired understands the basics of SEO. Hiring professional SEO services also enables a company to focus on its mainline of business without worrying about the details of SEO. The SEO company will be in a better position to provide you with professional service and implement strategies that have been proven to work.

Nowadays, it is easy for companies to find reliable and affordable SEO services. This is due to the high number of such professionals and the huge demand of experienced SEO implementers. It is possible to find reliable companies that will provide you with exceptional SEO service at a very affordable price. If you are looking for ways to get more traffic for your website, then you need to consider turning to a professional search engine optimizer who will help your website rank highly on major search engines.
